What Are the NSBECS and Why Do They Matter?

This course introduces the four domains of the NSBECS—Mission and Catholic Identity, Governance and Leadership, Academic Excellence, and Operational Vitality—and explains how they work together to define and guide effective Catholic education. Educators will explore how the NSBECS guides Catholic schools’ spiritual mission while supporting excellence in teaching and learning. Participants will examine practical implementation examples and reflect on how the standards are currently reflected in their classrooms or schools.
