The 2020 NJSLS-VPA provide an opportunity to re-envision sequential arts education, capable of driving artistic literacy and fluency that will lead to lifelong learning in the arts. Implementation of the 2020 New Jersey Student Learning Standards in the Visual and
Performing Arts provides multiple pathways to deepen students’ understanding of the creative process. The course is organized into two parts to make the learning more digestible. Part I of this course lays the foundation, and Part II builds upon the first half of the course.
